One of the prominent temples of Dakshina Kannada which fulfills all the devotee’s wishes is Sadashiva Rudra Swami’s temple present at Suryakshethra near Ujire. The temple is situated at a distance of nine kilometers from Ujire and one can get sharing auto – rickshaw to reach this place. The place Suryakshethra is also called as Surya Grama.

The devotees come to the temple from far away places. The problems like education, delays in marriage or any sort of disease will be solved at this place. Even couples who are not blessed with children have also got children after visiting this place. The remedy to all the problems is simple.

Harike is the offering to be made by the devotees to the God or Goddess against the fulfillment of their wishes.

Devotees have to visit this place and pray Lord Sadashiva Rudra Swami for the betterment of their condition. Devotees have to do ‘Harike’ that they will offer clay model of what they have prayed. For example, a person who is suffering with heart disease has to do harike that they will offer clay model of heart. If it is of education then clay model of book and pen has to be offered after the fulfillment of wishes.
