This mata is also famous Second Mantralaya. Everywhere you will find the ‘Brindavan’ of Sri Raghavendra Swami but here the carving of Raghavendra Swami is present on the stone. Many experience the divinity at this place which is present no where else.

The place gained importance because of a saint Sri Sugnanendra Theertha Swamiji who lived at this place and wanted to have his last moments at Mantralaya. But it was not possible for him to visit Mantralaya during his last moments and he went to Samaadhi stithi at Nanjanagudu itself. Sri Sugnanendra Theertha Swamiji along with others namely Sri Sujanendra Theertha Swamiji, Sri Suprajnendra Theertha Swamiji and Sri Sukruthindra Theertha Swamiji performed Yagnas to attain moksha and get blessings of Lord Sri Hari.
